HOME DECOR
I am a native of Charlotte, NC, and a first-time author. I was inspired by my two daughters and the lack of diversity and representation in children’s books. I wrote an enjoyable book with a goal of teaching children of color to embrace the beauty of their brown skin. I also wrote this story because I want children to know they matter, to know they are beautiful, and to never feel a sense of inferiority because of their skin color. My passion is prevalent in this book and will continue to be evident and shine in future stories.
